Intercom

Intercom is a customer communication platform that helps businesses engage with their customers through live chat, email, with tools for sales, marketing, and support. I played a key role in Intercom's brand refresh, working closely with the brand team and Instrument to unify the company’s diverse visual identity while retaining its unique charm.

My responsibilities included providing design support, building comprehensive brand guidelines, and overseeing photo art direction and production. Together, we created a refreshed visual system that reflects Intercom's promise of accelerated growth through stronger customer relationships, featuring engaging illustrations, customer-centric photography, and a confident tone.

Intercom's first out-of-home marketing campaign, known as "...or you could use Intercom", ran on billboards along the Bay Bridge, bus shelters, YouTube ads, BART stations in San Francisco, and the Austin-Bergstrom Airport. This engaging campaign employs a "bad way/good way" visual concept to underscore Intercom's benefits for sales and marketing teams, all while adding an element of fun. Our in-house team handled strategy, copywriting, design, production, and photography.
